This is the first time I have ever written a bad review for anyone, but felt I had to in this instance.
I was very unhappy with the treatment I received at this salon
I had booked for a keratin treatment and a cut. When finished I had to point out to Lindsey that one side of my hair was shorter than the other. She cut some more off one side but it still looked uneven. I had had enough at this point.
I was also charged an extra £15 for the treatment even though my hair was just shoulder length.
I followed instructions to wash my hair after 3 days using a salt and paraben free shampoo. After the first wash I discovered that the keratin treatment had not worked at all. My hair was as curly and frizzy as ever.
I have had several keratin treatments in other salons that have all worked beautifully and lasted at least a couple of months.
I phoned the salon and after a lot of debate was told to come back and it would be done again.
I was made to feel very uncomfortable with the questioning when I returned.
Lindsey did the treatment again and when it was finished I said I hoped it had worked this time. I was told in no uncertain terms that she would not be doing it again, regardless!
Unfortunately yet again, the treatment did not work, in fact my hair seemed in worse condition. The product she used is totally useless.
Of course I wouldn't go near this place again and would advise others not to either. Very unprofessional. A complete waste of my time and money.

Loveeee Lindsay and Ellie who work there. Not only are they great at what they do, and listen to exactly what you want to have done but they are so fun and personal it makes being there so enjoyable.
Lindsay is so lovely and funny and I regularly visit this salon for this reason above most. She goes out her way to make you feel conformable and settled in the salon and is very complimentary. She is polite to everyone there, and treats her staff really well, making everybody feel welcome and at ease. Its a beautiful experience and I love it, I recommended her to a friend who has now become a recent regular customer, and cannot praise Lindsay and the salon enough. Shes open minded and good fun and LOVELY STAFF who don't take themselves too seriously. which mkes you wnt to go back, and I got exactly what I asked for.
Id go back every time, as I always do!

I have been visiting this salon every four weeks for over two years and trust me if I'm not happy I wouldn't be going back. Reading some of the reviews I feel I have been going to the wrong salon. These bad reviews seem more personal than professional.
My hair looks great and Lindsey listens to what you want and also advises what would suit you. Hair styles, cuts, nails etc are all given attention to detail, patience definitely needed with some customers. Tea, coffee or cold drinks are on offer. To me going to Esquire-et-cie is an enjoyable experience and I look forward to being pampered and chatting to people.
Lindsey is a delightful stylist, very professional and always polite. I can honestly say I have never witnessed rudeness, curt and difficult attitude to any client. Spotless salon, music, magazines, a right old natter with a look to die for when you leave. In my experience I have never had such a pleasant time in a salon. All you of little faith, try it. Put your money on a sure thing. Hope to see you there. Lindsey will make everyone welcome so see for yourself.

This salon was absolutely horrific. I bought a groupon voucher for shellac fingers and toes, I thought it was a good deal. The owner Lindsey began my treatment, she said it's only a groupon offer so you only get a file and polish, well that's what I expected so that's fine. I asked if I could use the customer bathroom, I was told not to put anything down it except loo paper, did she think I had a handbag full of rocks? It was downstairs and when I came back she asked me to switch the stairs light off. I sat in the very uncomfortable chair and I chose my colour, and was told that one was not available. I chose another, the same happened. Ridiculous. Eventually I found one she actually had. She was very quick, I felt like she was just slapping it on with no consideration. She made no conversation with me. While my hands were in the dryer she was playing on her phone. She was also very rude to the other member of staff, a young girl called Nicola who was doing a haircut. Lindsey repeatedly criticised Nicola, it was embarrassing and I felt really sorry for her. Lindsey also asked Nicola to open/close the door, while Nicola was working on the haircut. Lindsey barely spoke to me, she didn't even ask if my nails were ok. She began working on my toes and I got my first look at my fingernails - I nearly cried. They were absolutely terrible. A complete mess. I wish I had taken a picture of them. I didn't dare speak up, because I thought she would purposely mess up my toes, and I didn't think she would even care, and I thought even if she offers to redo them they'll still be terrible. I kept quiet and planned to get them redone somewhere else that afternoon. Luckily, by then Nicola had finished her client, and Lindsey said 'you can take over', not even mentioning it to me, though I was very happy about it. Nicola was very friendly and chatty, and did a really good job on my toes. I mentioned to her that I was really unhappy with my fingers, and she kindly offered to redo them for me. When Lindsey noticed Nicola working on my fingernails, she came over and was absolutely horrible. She blamed me for putting my hands in the dryer at the wrong angle. She blamed the quality of my nails and cuticles. She went on a rant about customers. She said she had done her best - she blatantly hadn't. It was awful. I explained I was having them done for a wedding, so I'd wanted them right. She then proceeded to tell me she wouldn't have chosen that colour for a wedding. I could not believe her attitude. She then gave me a free hairbrush, it was so odd. Nicola finished my nails and they are really good, I'm so grateful to her for helping me.
I don't think I am a particularity fussy person, and I rarely complain, but I really felt I had to for this.
Overall, this salon is a disaster, do not go.

I agree with the other comment. Not a good hairdressers I went in and there was no interest in what my hair was going to look like more interest in looking outside talking to other customers than concentrating on my hair. I had bought a full head of hair deal and hairdresser was insisting I only needed my roots doing in which this wasn't the point.
I left the hairdressers with my hair still wet scrunged up looking horrible and Because of this having to hair my hair coloured and cut again in a short period of time
Was not happy and will not be returning

Absolute joke of a hairdresser, more interested in looking at people outside than listening to what the client wants. Money down the drain and having to go to a more up market salon for it fixing thanks a lot.
