Reviews
Seeking a new hairdresser, I choose Rupert Hayes following a positive consultation.
The gentleman, who carried out my highlights, informed me that he had 20 yrs of experience. The next day following colour, my hair was brassy, with different colours at the roots to the ends. I contacted the salon to complain, I was by this point a week away from my wedding. Upon seeing the colour and agreeing with my comments, I was booked in for colour correction, which would consist of a full head of bleach highlights, with a complimentary condition treatment due to the treatments carried out. The colour was very light, far lighter than I had originally asked for, but much better than the first round. I ask for the foils to be placed as close to the root as possible as my hair is so fine, any other colour would look dark.
Once dried, the hair did look much better, however, when shown the hair underneath and around the hairline there were obvious patches where the foils had been placed one cm down from the root, which left darkness to the platinum hair I ended up with.
Having grown my hair for my big day, I was left with little choice but to cut off several inches of my hair to a bob just past my shoulders as the ends were left very damaged and dry from the colouring process.
Whilst the staff were pleasant enough and wanted to help with the correction work, the colour did need applications of purple toner shampoo to tone down the warmth and the application was not to the highest of standards.
